Resident Evil: Apocalypse

We rented two films last night. The first was Resident Evil: Apocalypse. It's directed by Alexander Witt who directed the second filming unit on yesterdays classic film mention The Bourne Identity [sic]. This probably explains the frantic shaky aspect of all the fight sequences.
Apocalypse begins with the release of the toxic gas responsible for the zombies in the first film. However, the gas spreads over the entire city and the race is on to escape before the entire area is nuked.
The film plot is as loose as the screws keeping Alexander Witt's camera straight so don't expect anything besides a total cheese-fest: Guns, explosions, sexy ladies and lots of zombie action.
So, as a film in itself, it's totally pathetic. However, if you're looking for a mindless action flick then it's a good choice.

I give this 2 Racoons out of 5.
